Problem Note 68523: Updating a SAS® Data Remediation issue by using the RESTful API to close it results in an orphaned workflow instance
An orphaned workflow instance occurs when you use the RESTful API to update an issue for SAS® Data Remediation 2.4 and close it. This problem occurs if you submit { "status" : "Closed"} for the issue with the following PUT request:
/SASDataRemediation/rest/groups/group-ID/topics/topic-ID/issues/issue-ID
The workflow instance is orphaned because the association between the workflow and the issue is lost. However, this problem occurs only when the issue has the status value “inWorkflow” when you query the API about the issue of the status.
There is currently no workaround when you are using the API. The only method that currently works is to close the issue in the SAS Data Remediation UI.
